Advancing Technology for Battlespace Advantage

Timely and effective mission planning is essential in shaping the battle of the future. This means investing in emerging technologies to bolster speed, precision and agility. By advancing big data analytics, machine learning, automation, artificial intelligence and pattern recognition, we are enabling new ways for disparate systems to connect, share, and learn. And – through ongoing advancement of multi-level intelligence sharing solutions – Lockheed Martin furthers the ability to connect systems and allow secure information sharing across Joint, Allied and Coalition operations. With a focus on tomorrow, Lockheed Martin is investing in new ways to deliver maximum capability – quickly and affordably for existing and future systems – today.

Helping Define the Multi-Domain Roadmap

The global landscape is rapidly evolving and information in the battlespace is moving faster than ever. Prevailing in future conflicts requires the ability to create simultaneous dilemmas faster than our adversaries can react. This means connecting systems that rapidly transfer data across air, space, sea, land and cyber domains to provide shared situational awareness and near-instantaneous decision making. That’s why Lockheed Martin is partnering with industry and government to advance systems and capabilities that enable multi-domain operations.

Connecting Across the Spectrum

By approaching multi-domain operations from a 5th generation mindset that is capability, not platform centric, Lockheed Martin is developing ways that effectors can be employed across multiple domains simultaneously. With expertise developing capabilities that span across the oceans, in the air, undersea, on land, in space and throughout the cyber and electro-magnetic spectrum, Lockheed Martin is connecting  systems from enterprise to the tactical edge. Leveraging the breadth and depth of the Lockheed Martin portfolio, we are committed to helping customers realize a cohesive 21st-century multi-domain operational environment.

Demonstrating the Future Today

Through continued advancement of sophisticated technologies, wargaming exercises and capability demonstrations, Lockheed Martin remains at the forefront of helping customers realize their vision for successful multi-domain operations. Since 2013, Lockheed Martin has performed a series of demonstrations to prove that aircraft can be modernized efficiently, and to demonstrate how advanced mission system capabilities can be rapidly added to systems to increase capability. To refine multi-domain command and control, Lockheed Martin began hosting a series of exercises that explore refinements to processes, concepts of operations and technologies to identify solutions ways to expedite the data to decision cycle. Leveraging lessons learned from these demonstrations and wargames we are working to facilitate connections across strategic, operational, and tactical levels.
